Last week, the Secondary Department of ASJ (Dongguan) successfully held its annual Sports Day, blending fun and healthy competition to engage the whole school community. This year’s event introduced more challenging activities and invited sister schools from Hong Kong, offering students a vibrant stage to demonstrate athletic skills and teamwork.

上周，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校中学部成功举办年度校运会。活动以趣味性与竞技性结合为特色，吸引了全校师生热情参与。本届赛事特别设置了更具挑战性的项目，并邀请香港姊妹学校共同竞技，为中学生打造了一个展现运动能力与团队精神的舞台。

From traditional track-and-field events like sprints, high jump, and javelin to team competitions such as tug-of-war, our students showcased abilities honed in PE lessons while embodying values like collaboration, sportsmanship, and fair play. The participation of Hong Kong’s Fanling Kau Yan College and St. Antonius Girls’ College elevated the event’s significance, fostering cross-regional friendship through friendly rivalry.

学生们在短跑、跳高、标枪等传统田径项目与拔河等团体项目中展现他们的运动技能，这同时也展现了他们在平常体育课中学习到的价值观，例如团队合作、体育精神、尊重对手、公平竞争等。同时，香港姊妹学校粉岭救恩书院及圣安当女书院的加入，不仅提升了赛事规格，更让两地青年在竞技切磋中缔结友谊纽带。

Beyond the athletes’ achievements, the day highlighted the dedication of staff and student volunteers in coordinating logistics, officiating matches, and managing scoring. Their teamwork ensured the event’s seamless success, making it a joyful and unforgettable experience for all.

这是一个充满乐趣和难忘的日子，不仅是作为主角的运动员们，教职员团队和学生志愿者们在赛事统筹、裁判执法、积分统计等环节中也发挥了重要的作用。
