Grade 1

Students began their learning journey with great enthusiasm as they settled into their new classroom community, exploring activities that helped them get to know one another while revisiting important routines and expectations. Filled with curiosity and energy, they are ready to embark on an exciting year of discovery and growth.

Students explored essential agreements, collaboratively outlining classroom expectations and behaviours for a positive learning environment. By involving students in the creation of these agreements, a sense of ownership and community is fostered. Students feel valued and heard, which can lead to increased cooperation and mutual respect.

Grade 6

Students have begun the new school year with excitement, actively building new friendships and connections within their classroom community. As they collaboratively explored classroom expectations and rules, they also began their new curriculum, supporting both their academic and socio-emotional development.

Art

Welcome back to school! This week in art class, students continued experimenting with different materials, exploring endless possibilities! They are fully prepared for the upcoming art practice!

Music

Students got to know each other through engaging musical games, building connections and a sense of belonging. Everyone participated enthusiastically, creating a supportive and joyful classroom atmosphere while having fun together.

Students were excited to discover the digital platform 'Curipod' in their first ICT class. They shared their personal interests and tech preferences through the platform's interactive activities, which helped to build classroom connections and strengthen their socio-emotional skills through collaborative digital play.

Mandarin

Ms. Carol: Students returned to Mandarin class with fantastic energy and a positive attitude. They were eager to reconnect with the language and each other through collaborative games and discussions.

Ms. Nicky: Students have begun the new semester with great enthusiasm, fostering both their academic progress and socio-emotional development. Through classroom interactions, they are not only gaining knowledge but also learning to understand others, manage emotions, and build positive relationships.

Ms. Carol:  三年级学生们以极佳的活力和积极的态度重返中文课堂。他们渴望通过合作游戏与讨论，重新融入中文学习并与同学们建立联系。

Library

During the first week of school, students enjoyed being back in the library where they were able to connect with classmates about various books and reading activities.

Chinese Maths

Ms. Carol: Students had a fantastic first week! They adapted wonderfully to their new environment and enthusiastically participated in all our class activities to build a strong classroom community.  

Ms. Leaf: Students understood and began applying the "standard" in "Classification and Arrangement", developing the habit of orderly placing items and transferring the concept of "orderliness" to their daily lives. This helps students establish a sense of responsibility for managing their own belongings.

Ms. Carol: 学生度过了精彩的第一周！他们很好地适应了新环境，并热情地参与了所有课堂活动，以共建一个良好的班级社区。

Ms. Leaf:  学生们在《分类与整理》中理解“标准”并执行，养成有序摆放物品的同时将“有序”迁移到日常生活中，帮助学生建立对自身物品的管理责任。

P.E.

Throughout the week—and indeed, the entire school year—students focus on developing their identity, building healthy relationships, and fostering their emotional well-being. Through a variety of games, they enhanced their social awareness and strengthened bonds not only with their peers but with staff members as well, creating a strong sense of community and belonging. This activity represents a core component of the PSPE curriculum.
