The class bonded through introductory activities and a show and tell, which beautifully launched the 'Who We Are' unit. Together, students and teachers established classroom essential agreements to ensure a positive and productive year.

Welcoming the students into Grade 3, as well as introducing new members to our school community, provided an excellent opportunity for the students to work together to create their own essential agreements and establish behaviours that could help them to accumulate house points. The students explored how diaries can be used to gain a better understanding of oneself by documenting feelings, emotions, and memories.

Ms. Leaf: Students understood and began applying the "standard" in "Classification and Arrangement", developing the habit of orderly placing items and transferring the concept of "orderliness" to their daily lives. This helps students establish a sense of responsibility for managing their own belongings.

Throughout the week—and indeed, the entire school year—students focus on developing their identity, building healthy relationships, and fostering their emotional well-being. Through a variety of games, they enhanced their social awareness and strengthened bonds not only with their peers but with staff members as well, creating a strong sense of community and belonging. This activity represents a core component of the PSPE curriculum.
