探究零食的演变历程

及食品加工业的运作模式


As part of a Song Dynasty-themed interdisciplinary project, Grade 8 students visited Hsu Fu Chi 801 General Factory on 24 November 2025. This project-based learning activity integrates Geography and Chinese History, exploring the evolution of snacks and the operation of food processing industries from both historical and geographical perspectives. 


作为宋代主题跨学科实践活动的一部分,八年级学生于2025年11月24日参观徐福记 801 总厂。此专题研习活动整合了地理和中国历史学科,引导学生从历史与地理的双重角度,探究零食的演变历程及食品加工业的运作模式。



Students first learned about the scale of the Hsu Fu Chi 801 main factory through a model. Then, a video introduced the developing history of the company and automation in egg processing. The students were amazed by the tens of thousands of eggs processed daily. 


学生先从徐福记801总厂的模型,认识整个厂房的规模。然后透过视频了解徐福记的发展历史以及对鸡蛋的自动化处理。学生们都非常惊讶每天需要处理上万个鸡蛋。



After watching the video, they toured the Sachima (a type of Chinese pastry) production process, seeing how flour, eggs, and other ingredients are transformed step-by-step into packaged Sachima, understanding the input, process, and output of an industrial system. Of course, the most exciting part for the students was being able to taste the delicious Sachima themselves.


看完视频后,学生们参观了沙琪玛的制作过程,从面粉、鸡蛋等材料,一步一步的成为包装好的沙琪玛,明白工业系统的投入、过程和产出的概念。当然让学生们最开心的是可以亲身品尝美味的沙琪玛。



Afterwards, we visited the production line for crispy candy. Upon entering the factory, they smelled the fragrant peanuts and watched the crispy candy pieces emerge from the machines. The students were very curious, taking notes as they toured.


之后,我们参观酥心糖的生产线。一进入厂房,就闻到香香的花生,看着一粒一粒的酥心糖从机器里出来,学生们都非常好奇,一边参观,一边记录笔记。



To make the activity more meaningful, the students became mini-entrepreneurs, using their allocated start-up funds to buy various snacks, package them, design posters, and prepare for a charity sale to help those in need.


为了让活动变得更有意义,学生们成为小小企业家,拿着分发的创业基金,购买各种各样的零食,并且进行包装,设计海报,准备义卖,帮助有需要的人。




In addition, teachers from CES and Art departments led students to learn about ancient snack culture and create snack models. In collaboration with the Computer Science department, students designed a video comparing ancient and modern snack cultures. In summary, the students benefited greatly from this interdisciplinary practical activity.


此外,公社科和美术科老师带领学生们认识古代零食文化,以及制作零食模型,并配合计算机科,学生们设计视频比较古今零食文化。总括而言,学生们在这次跨学科实践活动中获益良多。
