A New-Style Parent-Teacher Conference

初中部新式家长会：一场高效、温暖的深度对话

On 28th November, the Junior Secondary Department held an innovative parent-teacher conference. Departing from the traditional format, this event was carefully designed to integrate awards ceremony, progress updates and in-depth dialogue within a clear and well-structured programme, resulting in a notably high attendance rate from parents.  

11月28日，初中部举办了一场别开生面的家长会。不同于传统模式，本次活动精心设计，融合表彰、汇报与深度交流，流程清晰紧凑，家长出席率创下新高。

The event began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Diana ZHANG, Principal of Junior Secondary Department. This was followed by a formal ceremony honouring the “Five-Star Students” who have excelled in research projects, competitions and daily school life—a proud moment for both students and their families.

活动在学部校长张悦女士亲切的欢迎词中开始。随即，大会隆重表彰了在研学、竞赛及日常表现中突出的“五星少年”，孩子们的光彩时刻令家长倍感欣慰。

Subsequently, the school presented concise reports on academic progress, character development and extracurricular achievements. In her concluding remarks, Principal Diana ZHANG articulated the overarching vision for home-school collaboration in supporting students’ growth.  

此后，校方就学术、德育及活动成果向家长做了精要汇报，张悦校长的总结发言更是高屋建瓴，指明了家校共育的方向。

A highly praised segment of the afternoon was the dedicated time for in-depth interaction. Parents joined homeroom teachers in classroom sessions for collective updates, followed by opportunities for individual consultations and subject-specific conversations with teachers. This model—addressing common matters in the general assembly and personalised concerns in classroom settings—greatly enhanced the efficiency and focus of communication.  

备受好评的环节在于后半程的深度互动。家长们随班主任回到班级进行了集中交流，之后更有个案咨询与学科老师面对面沟通的时间。这种“大会聚焦共性，班级解决个性”的模式，极大提升了沟通效率与针对性。

The conference was seamlessly organised, rich in content yet orderly throughout. Feedback collected in the post-event survey indicated strong parental approval for this fresh, practical and inclusive approach to parent-teacher meetings. We are confident that this successful dialogue will further strengthen our shared understanding and commitment, helping every child to thrive.  

整场活动环环相扣，信息量大却井然有序。会后满意度调查显示，家长对这种新颖、务实、尊重多元需求的家长会形式给予了高度评价。我们相信，这场成功的家校对话，将进一步凝聚共识，助力孩子更好地成长。
