Alvin Fu returned to his alma mater, ASJ (Dongguan). Standing on the familiar campus, he is a already university student from the Department of Law at Shenzhen University, bringing with him the fruits of his growth, and returning to light a lamp for his juniors in the G12 class.

Alvin Fu 回到了母校——东莞ASJ。站在熟悉的校园里，他如今已是深圳大学法律系的一名大学生，带着成长的收获，回来为G12的学弟学妹点亮一盏灯。

  Push open the window of the HKDSE and see another landscape of education.  

  推开HKDSE这扇窗，看见教育的另一种风景  

Alvin shared that he chose the HKDSE curriculum not only to overcome the challenge of English, but also because he was attracted by its "holistic development" educational philosophy. Unlike regular high schools that focus on exam preparation, HKDSE places more emphasis on the practical application of language, the cultivation of independent critical thinking skills, and introduces new subject, such as Economics, Chinese History, and History, which has gradually taught him how to "learn for himself".

Alvin分享道，当初选择HKDSE课程，不仅是为了突破英语的挑战，更是被它"全面发展"的教育理念所吸引。与普高侧重应试不同，HKDSE更重视语言的实际运用、独立思辨能力的培养，还引入了经济、中国历史、世界历史等新学科，让他逐渐学会如何“为自己学习”。

What impressed Alvin most was ASJ (Dongguan)'s "experiential learning" approach. For example, the SBA book report in his language class not only improved his writing and reading skills, but also systematically honed his comprehensive abilities in information retrieval, viewpoint integration, and clear expression. These skills, cultivated through this process, now form a solid foundation for his confidence in university classrooms and group discussions.

令Alvin印象深刻的，还有东莞ASJ推行的“体验式学习”。比如语文课的SBA读书报告，不仅提升了写作与阅读能力，更系统锻炼了他检索信息、整合观点与清晰表达的综合素养。这些在过程中沉淀下来的能力，如今在大学课堂与小组讨论中，成了他扎实的底气。

For Alvin, academic pursuits and personal interests are never a simple choice. At ASJ (Dongguan), he often plays the saxophone and rehearses with like-minded partners, forms bands, and participates in various activities—serving as an emcee, hosting programs, and participating in planning. Alvin says, "At ASJ (Dongguan), I learned to fully immerse myself in my studies and enjoy exploring my interests to the fullest. This is perhaps the most valuable time management lesson I've ever taken."

学业与兴趣，在Alvin眼中从来不是一道单选题。在东莞ASJ，他常常带着萨克斯风，与志同道合的伙伴一起排练、组乐队，也活跃于各类活动中——担任司仪、主持节目、参与策划……Alvin说：“在东莞ASJ，我学会了学习时全情投入，探索兴趣时尽情享受，这或许是我上过宝贵的一堂时间管理课。”

The balance and self-discipline Alvin developed at ASJ (Dongguan) allowed him to quickly integrate into university life. Shenzhen University's open and vibrant campus atmosphere is consistent with ASJ (Dongguan)'s diverse and inclusive culture. "Because I had experienced a wealth of activities and self-organization at ASJ (Dongguan), I was able to adapt easily after entering university. The platform and freedom provided by the university have made me better able to proactively seize opportunities."

这种在东莞ASJ养成的平衡与自律，也让Alvin迅速融入了大学生活。深圳大学开放而活跃的校园氛围，与东莞ASJ多元包容的文化一脉相承。“正因为曾在东莞ASJ经历过丰富的活动与自主安排，进入大学后也能从容适应。学校所给予的平台与自由，让我更懂得如何主动把握机会。”

  Growth is about accepting the gap between expectations and reality, and even more so, embarking on the next journey through mountains and seas.  

 成长，是接纳落差，更是奔赴下一程山海  

When Alvin's HKDSE results fell short of his desired major, Alvin chose to accept it and turned to the field of law, which he was more interested in. Alvin said, "Instead of dwelling on the results, it's better to see where the problem lies and pave the way for the next stage."

当Alvin的HKDSE成绩与理想专业之间出现距离，Alvin选择了坦然以对，转而投向更感兴趣的法律领域。Alvin说：“与其纠结结果，不如看清问题所在，为下一阶段铺好道路。”

Alvin also encouraged his juniors: "You must pave more paths for yourself—whether it's the Joint Entrance Examination for the Chinese Mainland, the Joint Entrance Examination for Four Universities in Macau, or various independent admissions programs...... The more opportunities you have, the more composed you will be when facing choices."

Alvin也鼓励学弟学妹：“一定要多为自己铺路——无论是内地联招、澳门四校联考，还是各类自主招生……机会越多，面对选择时才会越是从容。”

When planning for the future, Alvin advised combining personal interests with professional prospects to find a direction that truly suits one's needs. Today, Alvin has clear goals and a firm pace: striving to improve his GPA, applying for postgraduate studies abroad, and continuing to explore life's possibilities on a broader stage.

在规划未来时，Alvin建议结合个人兴趣与专业前景，综合权衡，找到真正适合自己的方向。如今的Alvin，目标清晰、步伐坚定：努力提升GPA，未来申请海外研究生，在更广阔的舞台上，继续探索人生的可能。

What ASJ (Dongguan), bestows is far more than just a diploma. It is the ability that settles in one's heart, the mindset to calmly face challenges, and a real, traceable record of growth.

东莞ASJ所赋予的，远不止一纸文凭。那是沉淀于心的能力，是从容应对挑战的心态，也是一段真实可循的成长印记。

When students take all of this with them to farther parts of the world, and are still willing to turn back—education completes its warmest cycle.
