"Since coming to ASJ (Dongguan), I've experienced a more diverse range of activities and a better learning atmosphere"—Tiffany Zhong, now a student majoring in stomatology at Jinan University, shone with excitement as she recalls her time studying at ASJ (Dongguan). For her, transitioning from a school in Hong Kong to the ASJ (Dongguan) campus was a pivotal turning point in her academic and personal growth.

“来东莞ASJ以后我能感受到更加多元化的活动以及学习氛围”——回忆起在东莞ASJ的求学时光，现就读于暨南大学口腔医学专业的Tiffany Zhong，眼神中依然闪烁着兴奋的光彩。对她而言，从香港的学校转至东莞ASJ的校园，是她学业与个性成长的关键转折点。

转折：走出屏幕的学习，在东莞ASJ感受多元成长

Tiffany’s high school journey did not start at ASJ Dongguan. She first attended a public school in Hong Kong, yet the prolonged pandemic turned in-person classes into a luxury. With only online learning available, she struggled to immerse herself in a genuine school atmosphere and had few opportunities to take part in extra-curricular  activities. The lack of interaction and vibrancy in this learning environment led her to consider transferring schools.

Tiffany的高一生活并非始于东莞ASJ。此前，她在香港一所公办学校就读，但持续的疫情让线下授课成为一种奢侈，漫长的网课生涯使她难以体验真实的校园氛围，也少有参与课外活动的机会。这种缺乏互动与活力的学习环境，让她萌生了转学的想法。

ASJ Dongguan, with its HKDSE curriculum seamlessly aligned with Hong Kong’s education system and its diverse educational offerings, soon caught her attention. This choice would go on to mark a pivotal turning point in her academic journey.

东莞ASJ以其与香港教育体系无缝衔接的HKDSE课程以及多元化的办学特色进入了她的视野。这个决定，成为了她学习生涯的重要转折。

After arriving at ASJ (Dongguan), Tiffany's campus life was given a whole new "warmth" and "breadth". She described her mindset as becoming more lively and cheerful, and in the diverse activities and strong learning atmosphere, she truly achieved a balance between academics and interests.

来到东莞ASJ后，Tiffany的校园生活被赋予了全新的“温度”与“广度”。她描述自己的心态变得更加活泼开朗，在多元的活动与浓厚的学习氛围中，真正实现了学业与兴趣的平衡。

Passionate about stage performance, she found her opportunity to shine here. From talent competitions to various performances, her experience as a host has helped her grow from yearning for the stage to confidently navigating it. Serving as the president of Student Council  was an unforgettable chapter in her high school years—in organizing activities, she not only improved her coordination skills but also deeply felt the cohesion of the team and the genuine friendship between teachers and students.

热爱舞台的她，在这里找到了绽放光彩的机会。从才艺大赛到各类演出，多次担任主持的经历让她从渴望舞台到从容驾驭，自信不断成长。而担任学生会主席，更是她高中时代难忘的一章——在组织活动中，她不仅提升了协调能力，更深深感受到团队的凝聚力与师生间的真挚情谊。

With the school's support, Tiffany actively participated in competitions, winning a silver medal in the National Biology Exhibition Board Competition, a first prize in the provincial English Speech Competition sponsored by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, and a second prize nationwide. The preparation process allowed her to deeply appreciate the dedication of teachers and clarified her career direction. At ASJ (Dongguan), she learned balance, responsibility, and perseverance, growing into a confident and radiant individual.

在学校的支持下，Tiffany积极参与竞赛，先后获得全国生物展板银奖、外研社英语演讲省一等奖及全国二等奖。备赛虽需牺牲课余时间，但Tiffany坦言，收获远超越奖项本身——不仅深入理解了教师备课的付出，更在探索中明确了职业兴趣与发展方向。在东莞ASJ，Tiffany学会了平衡、担当与坚持，成长为自信闪光的自己。

奠基：东莞ASJ的积累成为大学专业的坚实基石

Being a dental student, Tiffany deeply appreciates the invaluable experience she gained at ASJ (Dongguan). She explains that dental medicine is not just about teeth; first and second-year students need to master fundamental subjects such as Human Anatomy, Chemistry and Physics. ASJ (Dongguan)'s emphasis on hands-on laboratory teaching allowed her to become familiar with many laboratory instruments and build a basic knowledge base as early as high school, making her feel at ease and comfortable in university labs.

如今，作为口腔医学专业的学生，Tiffany深感在东莞ASJ的积累弥足珍贵。她解释道，口腔医学并非只研究牙齿，大一大二需要攻克人体解剖、化学、物理等基础学科。而东莞ASJ重视实验操作的教学模式，使她早在高中阶段就熟悉了许多实验仪器并建立了基础知识体系，因此进入大学实验室时感到得心应手，毫不陌生。

Meanwhile, Tiffany’s experience of balancing academics with student council duties and competitive activities at ASJ Dongguan honed her strong time management skills. This foundational ability allowed her to allocate her time effectively throughout university—striking a healthy balance between studies and leisure—and tackle even the most challenging academic courses with ease.

同时，在东莞ASJ平衡学业与学生会工作、竞赛活动的经历，让Tiffany早早掌握了高效的时间管理能力。这种能力使她能够在大学期间游刃有余地分配学习与课余时间，从容应对更具挑战性的专业课程。

Looking back on her academic journey, Tiffany remains deeply grateful to her alma mater, ASJ Dongguan. To her junior schoolmates, she shares three heartfelt pieces of advice: plan ahead and pursue your passions with decisive action; dare to step out of your comfort zone and embrace new experiences, never missing a campus opportunity to grow and develop; and stay true to your beliefs—when the urge to give up creeps in, remind yourself: “You can do it!”

回顾自己的成长之路，Tiffany对母校东莞ASJ始终心怀感恩。面对学弟学妹，她将自己的体悟凝成三点衷心的建议：尽早规划，找到兴趣所在并付诸行动；勇于尝试，别错过校园里任何一个锻炼自己的机会；坚定信念，在那些想要放弃的时刻，请记得告诉自己“你一定可以”。
