As the summer holiday draws to a close, the campus of ASJ (Dongguan) has already come alive with bustling activity. On 24 August, all ASJ staff officially returned to school, fully prepared and energised to welcome the 2026-2027 academic year.

暑假的尾声悄然临近，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校的校园里早已忙碌起来。8月24日，全体教职工正式返校，以饱满的热情和充分的准备，迎接2026-2027新学年的到来。

On the morning of 24 August, the ASJ (Dongguan) Staff Meeting was held at the school theatre. Mr. Banco TUNG, Chairman of the School Board; Mr. Billy TUNG, Executive Director; Ms. Grace AIK, School Supervisor; Mr. Samuel KAM, Executive Principal; along with principals from each academic section, department heads, and all staff members gathered together to mark the beginning of the new academic year.

8月24日上午，东莞ASJ全体教职工大会隆重举行。学校理事长董旭原先生、执行理事董柏佑先生、学校校监易丽华女士、执行校长金礼贤先生及各学部校长、各部门领导与全体员工齐聚一堂，共同开启新学年的序幕。

During the meeting, school leaders delivered successive addresses, outlining the strategic direction for the year ahead and sharing their shared vision and confidence for the new academic year. As a key member of the Greater Bay Area's schools for Hong Kong and Macao students, ASJ (Dongguan) remains steadfast in its mission to provide quality education for its students. Standing at this new starting point, every member of the ASJ community is committed to embracing educational change with greater dedication and professionalism, working together for the future of our school and our students. 

大会现场，学校领导轮番致辞，为全体教职员工指明新学年的发展方向，共同表达了对于新学年的殷切期望与坚定信心——东莞ASJ作为大湾区港澳子弟学校的重要一员，始终肩负着为港澳台侨及外籍人员子女提供优质教育的使命。立足新起点，全体ASJ人将以更饱满的热情、更专业的素养，积极拥抱教育变革，共同为学校与学子的未来奋力前行。

Following the addresses, principals of each academic section introduced their teams and shared their divisional plans and collaborative strategies for the new semester, showcasing a renewed spirit of unity and collective progress.

随后，各学部校长分别携团队亮相，分享了各自学部新学期的团队部署与工作规划，展现了新学期协同奋进的崭新面貌。

This was a truly inspiring assembly – the 2026-2027 academic year marks not only a fresh start but also a journey filled with hope and promise!

这是一次凝心聚力的大会——2026-2027学年，是崭新的开始，更是充满希望的征程！

On the same day, the school organised three intensive training sessions, underscoring our strong commitment to the professional growth of our staff.

返校当天，学校紧锣密鼓地安排了三场专题培训，充分体现了学校对教职工专业成长的高度重视。

Through real-life case studies and live demonstrations, staff gained a thorough understanding of campus fire safety protocols and emergency response procedures, laying a solid foundation for a safe and secure new semester.

通过实操演练与现场演示，全体教职员工进一步掌握了校园消防知识与应急处理流程，为新学期筑牢安全防线

Covering common fraudulent schemes prevalent in today's society, this session equipped staff with heightened awareness and sharper identification skills to better protect themselves and their students.

结合当下常见的诈骗手段，培训帮助教职工提升防范意识与识别能力，更好地保护自身与学生的安全。

This session provided an in-depth overview of education-related laws and regulations, reinforcing staff awareness of legal compliance and professional ethics to ensure all educational activities are conducted in full accordance with the law.

专业律师现场深入解读教育相关法律法规，强化教职工的法律意识与职业规范，确保教育教学工作依法依规开展。

These three training sessions were packed with practical insights, empowering every staff member with new knowledge and skills to begin the new academic year with greater confidence.

三场培训干货满满，让每一位教职工都带着新的认知与技能，更加从容地开启新学年。

In fact, as early as 17 August, teachers from both the Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary sections had already returned to school – two weeks ahead of schedule – to dive into the teaching preparations for the new academic year.

实际上，早在8月17日，初中部和高中部的老师们已经提前两周返回学校，投入到了新学期的教学部署工作中。

The Junior Secondary conducted systematic teaching training, with in-depth discussions on "Engaging and Effective Classrooms" and project-based learning (PBL) design. The Senior Secondary focused on the DSE curriculum framework and teacher professional development, ensuring full readiness for the teaching and learning priorities of the year ahead.

初中部开展了系统的教学培训，围绕“有趣高效课堂”课程优化与“PBL项目”设计进行深入研讨；高中部则聚焦DSE课程体系与教师专业发展，为新学年的教学冲刺做好充分准备。

Meanwhile, rigorous homeroom teacher training equipped our homeroom teachers with the tools to better support their students, while specialised sessions from the Student Development Centre laid the groundwork for a vibrant and enriching campus life – from extracurricular activities to student growth support, every detail has been thoughtfully planned.

与此同时，严谨的班主任培训帮助学生管理者们更好地开展班级工作；学生发展中心的专项培训则为新学年丰富多彩的校园生活打下了坚实基础——从课外活动到学生成长支持，每一个细节都已规划到位。

From a freshly renewed campus environment to meticulously crafted teaching plans; from the early return of our staff to the careful orchestration of every training session – every corner of ASJ (Dongguan) is now fully prepared.

从校园环境的焕然一新，到教学计划的周密部署；从全体教职工的提前到岗，到每一场培训的精心安排——东莞ASJ的每一个角落都已准备就绪。
